Global leader in executive search with 40 years’ experience advising clients who are changing the face of healthcare. From pre-series A start-ups to established life sciences companies, TSG partners to build expert executive leadership teams across functions, as well as boards, for the pharma, biotech, medtech, and healthcare technology sectors.
The Stevenson Group was founded by entrepreneur Stephen Steinman in 1979 as a generalist boutique search firm. From 2001 to 2010, TSG evolved into a Life Sciences specialist firm with a pharma, biotech, and technology focus. The 2010 transition from our original founder to a partnership model allowed us to scale our platform for the future and to deepen our footprint in Life Sciences. Since 2010, TSG has tripled the business by expanding existing partnerships and growing new segments geographically and functionally. No longer a boutique, TSG is one of the leading mid-sized executive search firms in Life Sciences.
Adam joined The Stevenson Group in 2006 as a Director and within a year was promoted to Managing Principal and Co-Head of the Life Sciences Practice. In 2010, he was named President and assumed full oversight of enterprise operations and administration. When Adam took the helm in 2010, TSG was a boutique search firm with 10 employees. By 2016, he and his leadership team had grown TSG into a mid-sized firm focused exclusively on specialized therapeutic areas, technologies, and functions across the Life Sciences ecosystem. During his tenure, TSG implemented a next generation service model that mirrors the core business functions of our client partners (commercial; R&D; manufacturing/operations; corporate) and built client service teams with the domain and functional expertise to bring an expert perspective across talent, science, and business.
Prior to The Stevenson Group, Adam was at Pfizer leading cross-functional searches for external executive talent and partnering with leaders across the matrixed organization on talent planning and organizational design. In this capacity, he played a key role in the build-out of an internal executive search function, managed talent acquisition teams across the global pharmaceutical business, and was an active leader of the corporate diversity recruiting team.
Earlier in his career, Adam ran his own search consultancy and spent several years with an executive search firm focused on the financial services industry.
Adam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Delaware and has professional certification in Human Resource Management from New York University.
